Inductee nomination process

Nomination submissions for future inductees for the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame are now being accepted. The online application can be made by anyone; including a fan, as long as the nominee or their management is in agreement with the nomination. To be considered, the nominee (musical artist/group, songwriter, musician, producer/music industry executive) must meet the criteria in the application below. Nomination submission does not guarantee selection…

It is understood that, should the nominee be chosen for placement in the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame, the nominee and his/her management understands that the induction ceremonies are public events. Honorees recognize that as such, footage and photos of the event are in the public realm and can be used for the National R&B Hall of Fame materials, websites, press releases, etc.

Nomination Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for nomination, an artist, individual, venue, or organization must have made significant contributions to the Rhythm & Blues industry and have demonstrated a lasting impact on the genre and its culture.

Minimum Eligibility Requirement:
All nominated artists, individuals, and venues must have provided a minimum of fifteen (15) years of service, contribution, or influence within the Rhythm & Blues music industry or its supporting community.
